Freedom has always been a basic principle of democracy. The desire for the freedom to choose their own way of life led the Colonists to the break with England, to the Revolutionary War, to independence.

Many of the places where the ideas of liberty and freedom grew to importance still exist today. Here you can see them, in exquisite photographs that bring an immediacy to the ideals that brought our country into being.

As the text follows the course of the Revolutionary War, you see Boston's Old South Meeting House, Faneuil Hall, Paul Revere's home, Old North Church, Buckman's tavern where the Minutemen assembled, Concord bridge, the church where Patrick Henry asked for liberty or death, Independence Hall, the conference house on Staten Island, and many more. Many are familiar; some are lesser known but significant in the fight for freedom; all are shown in STUNNING PHOTOGRAPHIC DETAIL.

WHERE FREEDOM GREW is a GREAT book that will stir the hearts of all Americans young or old. A list of current addresses indicating where to find these landmarks is included.
