This book is ex-library with usual markings, fep removed, wear to boards/corners, little bit of pen marking on page 31, some light interior soiling with a few tiny corner tabs removed (no print affected) & some dj edgewear with 1 corner clipped (price remains intact) & sunned spine. Pages & Binding are NICE & TIGHT!
Ralph Moody continues the story started in the book Little Britches. In this volume, he is told by his doctor at 19 that he had 6 months to live. So as not to burden his parents, he leaves home and tries to make it on his own.
The road is tough in a post WW I depression and he has trouble making ends meet. He winds up on the point of starvation in Arizona. As the road gets tougher so does Ralph, finally finding a job as a trick rider for a Hollywood film crew and eventually getting into sculpting.
