The History of Holland under Queen Wilhelmina with special interest in Holland's part in WW I. Several PHOTOS and illustrations throughout the book.
Wilhelmina was proclaimed Queen of the Netherlands at the age of 10 in 1890. Her mother, Queen Emma, was Queen Regent until Wilhelmina's 18th birthday when she ceded her authority to the young Queen. This a thorough study of the first 25 years of her long reign. Queen Wilhelmina ruled The Netherlands from 1890 to 1948 and this book was written during her reign. It is both her biography and a history of government, politics, international and national events during her reign.
There are chapters on foreign relations before, during and after World War I, The Netherlands Indies, literature, arts, science, etc.
